M16 - The Eagle Nebula. This ismage was taken through a Meade 10in LX200 'Classic' with a Meade DSI Pro CCD camera.
This region was made famous after the Hubble Space Telescope produced an amazing image dubbed 'The Pillars of Creation'. Within the immense pillars of gas and dust, new stars are being born. The Eagle Nebula (Messier #16) is found in the constellation Serpens. It is estimated to be 7000 Light Years distant.
