There were a few nice thick, short filaments as others have shown in their sketches and images. And going into the third hour, several other faint, slender, tall prominences were popping up on the WNW limb as well as the Western limb. There was another set of proms on the NE limb during the whole session.
There was a large portion of dense mottling in the SE quadrant of the disk. I might have my terminology wrong. It could have perhaps been a mottle-oid plage area. :grin:
This sequence sketch was of the nice prominent prominence on the SE limb. ;) |
